Attending your doctors’ appointments and making sure you adhere to your treatment keeps you healthy. Yet people living with sickle cell disorder often miss their appointments and might miss out on aspects of their treatment. A significant number of people do not adhere to treatments and miss appointments.

This has consequences for patients. Patients who do not adhere are more likely to end up in hospital.

It’s really important that you keep up with taking your medicines, attending your appointments, and anything else your doctor may suggest in managing your health. Stay healthy—stick with your treatment!
