The SCS is delighted to announce that our Board of Trustees have appointed Michele Salter as Vice Chair. Michele Salter joined the SCS as Treasurer in January 2014 following a highly successful 30 year career in Healthcare Finance. As a professionally qualified accountant, Michele provided financial expertise to acute, community, mental health, primary care and academic health science NHS organisations. Since 2001 Michele worked at or near Board level, including Director of Finance roles in London, Hertfordshire, Essex and Lincolnshire. Michele is an avid theatre attender, and keeps active dancing modern jive and dog walking. She has always participated in volunteering, and in recent years was an emergency host for DePaul Nightstop UK, a Trustee of the Tutu Foundation UK, management committee member for Women & Girls Network and escort-driver for ShapeArts. In addition to being a qualified accountant, she is accredited by Regent’s University as a Mediator in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
The Vice Chair role exists to provide cover for the Chair during any absences, and supporting the Chair by for example undertaking duties that might otherwise be done by the Chair, for example attending meetings, functions and/or speaking on behalf of the SCS.
We offer our warm congratulations to Michele for her appointment to this role!
