The Thalassaemia International Federation, the organisation for preventing and treating thalassaemia and other haemoglobin disorders worldwide, has been recognised for its hard work in the field.

During the 68th World Health Assembly, the Federation was awarded the Dr Lee Jong-wook Memorial Prize for Public Health, which is given to those who make an outstanding contribution in the field of public health, extending far beyond the call of normal duties.

We offer our warm congratulations to the Thalassaemia International Federation for this recognition for the sterling work they do.
