Help Us Make Work Fair for People with Sickle Cell
On World Sickle Cell Day, we called on everyone to Tell It Loud — and take action – but some things take more than one day of action to happen.
Watch this powerful video from Benji, who lives with sickle cell disorder, and hear why he’s urging people across the UK to write to their MP now.
Too many people with sickle cell face unfair treatment and a lack of support in the workplace. That’s why a new Early Day Motion (EDM) has been tabled in Parliament, calling for:
- Formal recognition of sickle cell as a workplace disability
- Proper training for employers and HR teams
- Improved access to employment support
But time is running out. We need more MPs to sign before Parliament breaks for the summer.
👉 Watch the video
👉 Write to your MP today using our simple template letter (see below)
👉 Share this message to help make sure every voice is heard
Together, we can make sure that people with sickle cell are better understood, protected, and supported at work.
