Gift Aid

Gift Aid

We rely on your kind donations to keep doing the work we do. Every donation allows us to reach more people, run more activities, and improve the lives of those living with sickle cell.

We want to make the most of all your generous support and we can do this through Gift Aid. As you might know, every charity and not-for-profit organisation has the opportunity to claim Gift Aid, helping in this way to maximise the impact of your donations.

How does Gift Aid work?

Gift Aid is a government initiative that makes your donation worth 25% more, at no extra cost to you. If you are eligible for Gift Aid and as soon as you give your permission, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs will add an extra 25p to every £1 donated to our charity.

How do I know if I am eligible for Gift Aid?

If you are a UK tax payer, then you are eligible for Gift Aid. Even if you are not employed, you are still eligible if you are paying tax on personal or occupational pension, stocks and shares, bank and building society savings accounts, rental income or overseas and UK investment dividends.

How can I sign up for Gift Aid?

If you are eligible for Gift Aid and you donated to us at any point between April 2018 to March 2020, please fill in our Gift Aid Claim Form below before the 29th February 2020.

I am a UK taxpayer and I would like to Gift Aid any donations to the Sickle Cell Society I make in the future and have made in the past 4 years, until I notify you otherwise.*

We would like to occasionally contact you to provide updates and let you know how you can support our mission. Please use the options below to select how we can interact with you. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
