All Personal Independent Claims to be Reviewed

All Personal Independent Claims to be Reviewed

In March 2017 the government changed the PIP rules to make it harder for people with mental health conditions to qualify for the mobility component. However, in December, the High Court found that these changes unlawfully discriminated against some disabled people.

The government had originally said that it intended to appeal the Court’s decision, but it has now decided to back down.

As a result of this, every person receiving Personal Independence Payments (PIP) will have their claim reviewed.
