BDB talks employment and Universal Credit at Canada Water Library

On Saturday 28th April, Breaking Down Barriers was invited to present information about employment & universal credit (in relation to Sickle Cell Disorder as well as Sickle Cell carers) to our service users to Canada Water Library.

The event was hosted by our colleagues from the South London Link, with the support of Robert Thompson from the Citizen Advice Bureau Southwark.

The event was a great success, and we received really good feedback from all those who attended.

Our South London Link host events like this on a regular basis, so if you would like to find out more please do not hesitate to contact my colleagues Valerie: (valerie.oldfield@sicklecellsociety.org) and Donna (Donna.Prendergast@sicklecellsociety.org)

PS: As promised I have attached the handouts for those who were not able to get a copy. You can simply download by clicking the image below.

It was lovely meeting you all on Saturday, so please feel free to contact me if you have any further queries at  linda.chic@sicklecellsociety.org or call our helpline on 020 8963 7794
